The Impressionist painters clearly spent a lot of time in gardens. Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Moriset, Sisley and many others captured their gardens (and one another's) on canvas at the high point of their annual effusion of leaf and bloom. Ignoring contemporary `rules' of color and composition, the painters studied the effects of moving sunlight, dappled shade, brilliant blossom, and shining water, rendering what they saw with lively brush strokes that caught the fine interplay of shadow and light.

This screen saver presents twenty-seven outstanding garden portraits by the giants of Impressionism. The images can be set to cycle continuosly or used as a desktop wallpaper.

This software is easy to install on Mac- or PC-based systems, our screen savers can be set up to cycle continuously, changing images at any interval the user selects, or used as wallpaper. (That is: one image comes on at startup and stays put until a different one is selected.) Image sets can be customized so that the user need only see favorites. Detailed information (media, dimensions, date, etc.) for each image, and a concise biography of the artist, may be had at the click of a mouse.
